Minutes ofThursday May 18th Meeting Submitted May 27th,2006 RGB
1. Meeting called to order at 7PM by President Roben Sumbury.
2. Roll call: Present: Robert Sumbury, Linn Torres, Rita Bell, John Copeland, Dan Coe
], Notice of the meeting duly posted on both bulletin boards prior to the 48 hour deadline.
4. Motion made by lohn Copeland, seconded by Rita Bell to forego the reading ofthe minutes of
the April 20th
, 2006 meeting. Carried 5-0.
5. President's Report: Introduction ofApex Pest Control Representative by Robert SumbuJY to
outline reasons for the finn's changeover from Sentricon, their current termite control system, to
Termidor. Board discussion subsequent to presentation indicated satisfaction with the change.
(Extensive information on this topic to appear in the May issue ofthe Banner and will be posted
on the bulletin boards. ) Changeover will be commenced on or about June 5th
.
6. Finance Committee; No report
7. Treasurer: No report
8. Grounds Committee: chairperson, Ruth Copeland. presented an overview of her comprehensive
May Grounds report. A :major COncern ofthil oommittoo focuses on the increasing number of
back yards exhibiting neglect and falling into disrepair. Grounds Chair requests direction from the
Board regarding this issue. since back yards do not specifically fall under the aegis ofthe deed
restrictions allowing Association action.
Subsequent to the presentation, and the ensuing Board discussion, a motion was made by
John Copeland to instruct the Grounds Committee to apply the same standards to all back yard
areas that are currently in place and mandated in the covenants for the front yard areas. Motion
seconded by Dan Coe. Carried unanimously S~O. Report filed.
9. Architectural Control Committee: No report.
10. Building Committee: No report.
11. Clubhouse: Flower pots have been refurbished and replanted with summer blooms around the
pool area.
12. RV Parking: No report.
13. Ladies of the Park: No report

14. Manager's Report: Warnings letters are being sent to homeowners whose accounts are in
arrears.
15. New Business: A bid will be requested from printer to publish 150 copies ofthe revised Lake
Heron Homeowners Association Handbook.
16. Motion made by John Copeland to adjourn meeting, seconded by Robert Sumbury.
Adjournment: 7:55PM.
